I'm Alive!

Yes, I am still alive! I haven't dropped off the face of the earth!

Life has changed dramatically in the past few months leaving little time to spend here so I have over 5000 new messages.... eeeek!
Firstly, I now call Chelsea, London home. Yes, I've moved! An opportunity too good to refuse was offered meaning moving from little old Adelaide to London. Wow, what an experience! I wouldn't recommend trying to do it with 6 weeks notice like we had.
Secondly, the move has given us more chances to travel to places which would normally be cost prohibative from Australia. We've already visited Rotterdam and Brussels. We have Zurich, Paris, Amsterdam and Luxemberg organised and there is an endless list of other places to see and experience.
My final point is that my broadband went live yesterday hence my entry here! You'll start to see snap shots of the places we visit. I can't wait to see more of the world!
I hope everyone is well and I'd like to welcome those who have added me to their watch lists. I will slowly catch up on all the messages.

As i mentioned in a previous journal, i was lucky enough to be the offical photographer for the SA heat of Miss Rally Australia. Hard job i hear you say!!!!

I appreciate the support and i hope you all continue to enjoy my efforts.

I've been relatively quiet around here for the past few weeks as life has been very busy. I have a few moments to reflect on the events of the past few days.
Australia has lost not just one, but two high profile people in the past week in tragedies. The first, Steve 'The Crocodile Hunter' Irwin. Known for his antics with animals the average person would stay well clear of. He's made a huge contribution to the conservation and preservation of Australia's native fauna and flora. I hope his legacy lives on for many generations.
The second is a personal idol and an inspiration to anyone. Peter Brock became famour for his successes in motorsport and its ironic that his passion claimed his life. Known as the 'King of the Mountain' for his unbeaten record of 9 wins of the Bathurst 1000, one of the worlds most testing motorsport events. 'Brocky' was not just a driver but a people's person. He took the time to personally address every fan for a breif moment like there was no one else around. There are few current drivers who can compare their own efforts to his. Over the past few years, i have been lucky enough to personally meet and converse with Brocky. My most special moment being involved in a conversation with another racing legend Alan Moffat and Brocky. Two idols of touring car racing here in Australia and me! That was special and i will cherrish that moment for a long time to come.

Just an after thought. Tomorrow is the 5th anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks. I hope the world is never exposed to anything that can compare to this tragedy. My thoughts are with anyone and everyone who has been personally effected by this event in history.

Short Break

HOLIDAYS

Holidays, aren't they wonderful?? I have a short break from work for just over a week and we're making the most of it. Off to Kangaroo Island this afternoon for the next 5 days, back for 2 and then off to Sydney for the weekend. Woohoo! The camera is gonna get a good work out! Will have lots to show on return.
